fun computer sketching???? MADNESS I tell you!!!!!!

so-finally started sketching on the computer---a big deal for me-never really liked it-flash never was my cup of tea for drawing-but a demo i am using now knocked my socks off-called sketchbook pro.
anyway here are some quick sketches--enjoy

if you post there will be..............trouble!!!!!

sorry havent posted in a while-been working on the old portfolio and then blogger and i had a difference of opinion. i thought i should post some art-blogger decided otherwise--hopefully we can come to a truce......momentarily
some quick sketches-watched some cheesy troy movie and some fun 60's kungfu--enjoy

old sketches

so havent been posting the past few days as i have been hitting the old reel-hand drawn animation--still feels weird-came off a flash show and the adjustment has been harder than i thought-and as a result my line tests lately have been less than stellar-
finally getting some flow back in my drawings, the subtle acting is still not just right-how a glance or one line can make you empathise with a character or just be bored--the big action is always easy-but enough about that-will post more on this later
For now here are some very old sketches and a quick sketch getting to learn the linework on a cleanup test for venture bros
hope ya all enjoy-will post the final cleanup and inked drawings as soon as i find them

too many posts!!!!!!! need a hobby!!!

bodiless heads-cats and dogs-living together--Madness!!!!!

just more drawings, from coffee shops to the beach, to stuff on tv---what can i say-hope you all like.

girls and punk!

some fun little sketches-enjoy

spectators!!!!!!!!

so guess where i was yesterday,
yup you guessed it watching mock lightsaber battles at washington square park-complete with jango fett and boombox spitting out that techno starwars beat you know you love
had an interesting sketching experience with fellow drawing people nelson and pedro till one guy jumps in wearing a bathrobe and a brace of sabers in his belt and started organising-so then everyone left
enjoy the sketches!!!

late night post

just a quick sketch as my good friend mr diaz feels i am not posting enough----though waiting on some new posts on his blog!!
kinda had a 50's hardy boy kinda idea happening-hope you all like it

few more sketches

blogger wont let me post more than one sketch at a time--sucks but i will try again

life drawing

Young conan

found some old rough sketches from last year when i was thinking of doing a short about a young conan-cos obviously young men fighting in loin clothes is where i see animation going-haha

post apocalypse

gotta love these mad max style 80's movies-see how man now fights with giant q tips and keeps his wardrobe on his back.

old movies!!!!!!

mmmmm feeling lazy so i have decided to post more in retaliation to myself. I have been watching alot of old movies and have been seeing some great poses and characters i just dont find in modern films. these are from gunga din and hombre.
ps-for all of you cats in new york check out the film forum downtown---looney toons next wednesday and buster keaton retrospectives every monday in september----check it out!!!

Starbuckians!!!!!

no not a lost race of people from battlestar galactia but the humble denizens of the many spots where i get my caffeine fix.
some sketches of this proud race while i savour the expresso and wait for it to kick in

Trapped with a sketchbook in a moving car!!!

well here is a page of sketches i made while being driven around the lower west side looking for that rarest of all breeds--THE FREE PARKING SPACE!!!!!!
made the sketching very hard as i couldnt mess around with as many details as the car was taking a lot of sharp turns-lots of accidental lines but fun none the less
ps-why does blogger hate me??? does it hate you too????

Taking the daughter of the vine to bride!!

weird name but a the coolest quote i have found so far in a novel descibing being an alcoholic
and some fun sketches too---yaahhhh skulls!! they should be on more products-i want to buy flour with a skull and crossbones on it-says tasty to me!!!!
